Our mission will be to ensure better orientation for all people that aim to move and start a new life in a new place that is safer or better in terms of rights and living conditions.

Moreover, in the long run, we could support policy-makers and civil society organisations to develop and implement effective and place-based policies driven by the evidence the platform users and researchers will provide.

How? It will do so by bringing together researchers and migrants to turn (untapped) research findings and migrants’ advice (reviews/stories/videos) about specific settlement places into concrete orientation advice/tips.

OBJECTIVES/ACTIONS

• Inform migrants’ settlement through evidence, taking into consideration both policies on migration and integration, on the one hand, and migrants’ voices/reviews, on the other.
• Facilitate people’s internal or international mobility for all purposes (employment, education, better rights, international protection, etc.) and maximise integration outcomes/potential.
• Build on existing data/metadata on migrant integration and maximise outputs produced by distilling useful information/research findings for informing better migrants.
• Provide disaggregated data by specific profiles, needs and preferences to match migrants with the best place.
• Use attractive and user-friendly data visualisation tools.
• Render clear to the best possible extent existing/future research outputs
• Assist national and local social public services to optimise settlement decisions and complement the information they have at their disposal.
